As a PADI Divemaster, you are the first professional level in the PADI system, and you have completed your training and have the experience to assist PADI Instructors in training student divers. One of the ways to expand your knowledge, experience and earning potential is by becoming a PADI Specialty Instructor. Divemasters can teach some of the PADI Specialties courses. Here are some of the specialties that divemasters can teach:
Divemaster-Led Programs: Divemasters can teach certain PADI Specialty courses independently, such as PADI AWARE, and Coral Reef Conservation, PADI Oxygen Provider, Equipment Specialist, and Digital Underwater Photography (level 1) as well as EFR.
By teaching PADI specialties, Divemasters can enhance their skills and experience, increase their earning potential and stand out from other divemasters. Furthermore, teaching specialties can give them the opportunity to share their passion and experience with other divers.
It's important to note that Divemasters can only teach specialties that they are certified in and they must also have met the prerequisites for the specialty instructor course and must have the necessary equipment and materials to teach the course.
Overall, becoming a PADI Specialty Instructor as a Divemaster is a great way to expand your knowledge, experience and earning potential in the diving industry. With the right training and mindset, you can share your passion for diving with others and take your diving career to the next level.
